Each design in this set was drawn by the artist with many symbolic meanings in mind.

A full explanation of the symbolism, history and folklore behind the designs will be included with each set as a special insight into the artist’s intentions. Every aspect of Chinese design and decoration is inspired by symbolism, tradition, aesthetics and folklore, whether applied to clothing, art, architecture, home furnishings, toys, religious items or decorations.

This set comes to you in a beautiful Black Walnut case, custom made for this set, with a glass display window so you can admire your set and keep it covered at the same time. It locks with a clasp and your key is on a customized keychain.

The case measures 20” long by 6” wide by 4” high. The Walnut Racks & Tray are custom sized to fit the tiles. There are sturdy handles on each side and the case stands on 4 small feet.

Lifting ribbons make removal easy and graceful.

A Certificate of Authenticity shows your name and number of your set, signed & stamped by the artist.

It has been many years since a new design has been introduced to the world of Mah Jong, especially those made in the USA.

These are new blank tiles, made in China, with a nice size, easy to handle, in a subtle ivory color which complements the many colors used on these tiles. They are newly designed, carved and painted by a genuine scrimshaw.

Tiles measure 1 5/16” long, 1” wide and 3/4” thick.
